The port of Vancouver is definately the gateway for Alaskan Cruises, and in 2008 options are unlimited. There are 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16 day cruises with exciting ports of call such as: Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, College Fjord, Whittier, Valdez, Dawson City, Fairbanks, Talkeetna, Anchorage, and cruising the inside passage just to name a few. You may also choose to extend your cruise with stay-overs to Denali National Park and several others offered through the cruise/tour operators. The Alaskan cruises operate from Vancouver from May to September.
And Holland America's ms Zaandam will offer a 17 day roundtrip voyage from Vancouver to Hawaii departing April 22 with ports of call in Seattle, Hilo, Honolulu, Kona, Lahaina, Maui, and return to Vancouver!!!

Transportation Services
Vancouver's International Airport, YVR, services more than 20 major international and regional air carriers. The city centre is around 25 minutes from the airport. Taxis and limousines are readily available. There is also a regular bus service by Airporter bus company.
Regular bus service from Vancouver's city centre to Seattle's SeaTac airport is available via shuttle buses. It takes 3 hours to drive from Seattle to Vancouver, and both cities offer a wide variety of car rental companies.
Please note that airlines no longer provide check-in services at the cruise terminals.
